GPS Coverage
It is estimated that a total of 300 000 GPS units will be sold in South Africa during 2007, which means that the market is estimated to grow exponentially as per the diagram below.

POIs are able to be listed on the South African GPS mapping data which is released every six months by MapIT to the GPS manufacturers.
These include all major GPS brands as well as the map updates which existing GPS owners have loaded onto their devices. The average user buys an updated mapping data release once a year which further enhances the coverage.
